Homeowner Project Support Terms of Use

Request quotes and introductions for the key professionals, contractors, trades and suppliers commonly involved in a house extension project.

Last updated: June 2026

These Terms of Use apply when you complete a homeowner project-support form on the Draw Plans website and request introductions to independent service providers through the Architectural Partner Network (APN).

The homeowner project-support service is operated by Draw Plans Arch Limited, company number 16515721, trading as Draw Plans. Our registered office is 65 Kings Hall Road, Beckenham, England, BR3 1LR.

By submitting a project-support form, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms of Use.

1. Purpose of the Project-Support Service

1.1 Draw Plans provides an optional project-support service to help homeowners identify relevant building, property and home-improvement services for their projects.

1.2 Where appropriate, we may introduce you to selected independent providers from the Architectural Partner Network (APN).

1.3 These providers may include builders, structural engineers, approved inspectors, party wall surveyors, surveyors, tradespeople, suppliers and other specialist service providers.

1.4 You are not obliged to request introductions, contact any provider, obtain a quotation or proceed with any quotation that you receive.

2. Independent Service Providers

2.1 APN providers are independent businesses. They are not employees, agents, subcontractors or representatives of Draw Plans unless expressly confirmed otherwise in writing.

2.2 Any discussions, quotations, appointments or contracts for additional services are agreed directly between you and the relevant provider.

2.3 Draw Plans is not a party to any contract that you enter into with an APN provider.

2.4 Each provider is responsible for its own advice, quotations, fees, availability, insurance, accreditations, work, materials, employees, subcontractors, timescales and contractual obligations.

3. Selection and Vetting of Providers

3.1 APN is intended to be a curated network of suitable service providers.

3.2 We may carry out proportionate checks when considering whether a provider is suitable for inclusion within APN. The nature and extent of these checks may vary depending on the type of provider and service.

3.3 Inclusion within APN does not amount to a guarantee, warranty or certification of a provider’s work, conduct, financial position, availability or suitability for your particular project.

3.4 You remain responsible for carrying out your own checks before appointing a provider. These may include reviewing quotations, references, insurance, qualifications, trade memberships, previous work, payment terms and written contracts.

4. Requests for Introductions

4.1 Completing a form does not guarantee that an introduction will be made.

4.2 The availability of suitable providers may depend on the location, type, value, scope and timing of your project.

4.3 We may arrange introductions in stages, starting with the services most relevant to your current project stage.

4.4 We may decide not to pass an enquiry to a provider where we consider that the requested service falls outside the scope of APN or where a suitable provider is not available.

4.5 We may limit the number of providers introduced for a particular service to avoid unnecessary contact and protect the quality of the homeowner experience.

5. Quotations and Appointments

5.1 Any quotation provided by an APN provider is issued by that provider and not by Draw Plans.

5.2 You are responsible for reviewing the quotation carefully and confirming what is included and excluded before instructing any work.

5.3 You should obtain a written quotation or contract before appointing a provider.

5.4 Draw Plans does not guarantee that a quotation will be the lowest available price or that appointing separate providers will reduce the overall cost of your project.

5.5 Any payment must be made directly to the relevant provider unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

6. Your Responsibilities

6.1 You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when completing the form.

6.2 You should provide sufficient information to allow us and any selected provider to understand your requirements.

6.3 You are responsible for deciding whether a provider is suitable for your project and whether to proceed with any quotation.

6.4 You should not rely solely on inclusion within APN when making an appointment.

6.5 You should notify us promptly if your contact details, project scope or requirements change materially.

7. Sharing Your Information

7.1 When you submit the form and provide the required consent, you agree that Draw Plans may share your enquiry and relevant contact details with selected independent APN providers for the services you have requested.

7.2 The information shared may include your name, email address, telephone number, property address or postcode, project details, selected services and any other relevant information that you provide through the form.

7.3 We will only share your information with providers relevant to the services you select. We do not sell your details to unrelated third parties.

7.4 Once your details have been passed to an independent provider, that provider is responsible for handling your information in accordance with applicable data-protection law and its own privacy policy.

7.5 Further information about how Draw Plans collects, stores and uses your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

The ICO advises businesses to identify a lawful basis before sharing personal information, explain who information may be shared with and state the purpose of the sharing. It is also good practice to have suitable data-sharing arrangements with the organisations receiving the information.

8. Contact From Providers

8.1 By requesting an introduction, you agree that relevant APN providers may contact you directly to discuss the services you have selected and, where appropriate, provide a quotation.

8.2 Contact may be made by telephone, email or another contact method that you have provided.

8.3 You may tell a provider that you do not wish to receive further contact from them.

8.4 You may also contact Draw Plans if you no longer wish us to arrange further introductions.

9. Draw Plans Architectural Services

9.1 These Terms apply only to the homeowner project-support and APN introduction service.

9.2 If you instruct Draw Plans to provide architectural, planning, design, Building Regulations or consultancy services, those services are governed separately by the Draw Plans Terms & Conditions of Service and the written scope of your appointment.

9.3 Requesting an APN introduction does not automatically instruct Draw Plans or any APN provider to carry out work.

10. Responsibility and Liability

10.1 Draw Plans will use reasonable care when administering the APN introduction service.

10.2 As APN providers are independent businesses, Draw Plans is not responsible for their advice, acts, omissions, quotations, prices, contractual terms, workmanship, materials, delays, defaults or disputes.

10.3 Draw Plans does not guarantee the performance, solvency, availability or suitability of any APN provider.

10.4 Draw Plans is not responsible for any decision you make to appoint or not appoint a provider.

10.5 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

That final clause is important. Consumer-facing terms should not try to remove rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, a consumer service must be performed with reasonable care and skill, and terms that try to remove statutory rights may not be binding.

11. Complaints

11.1 If you have a concern about the administration of the APN introduction service, please contact Draw Plans at support@drawplans.uk.

11.2 If your concern relates to the quotation, work or conduct of an independent provider, you should raise it directly with that provider in the first instance.

11.3 We welcome feedback about APN providers and may consider it when reviewing whether a provider should remain part of the network.

11.4 Draw Plans is not responsible for adjudicating contractual disputes between homeowners and independent providers.

12. Changes to These Terms

12.1 We may update these Terms of Use from time to time.

12.2 The version that applies to your request will be the version published on the Draw Plans website at the time you submit the relevant form.

13. Governing Law

13.1 These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

13.2 Any dispute relating to these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to any rights you may have as a consumer.
